Election for the post of Commonwealth Secretary-General

Sir Ronald was a candidate for election to the post of Commonwealth Secretary-General In November 2015 at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Malta. In this section are:

He was not elected.

Two days before the election, a misleading and malicious article appeared in the British Telegraph newspaper. A letter from the Commissioner of Police of Antigua and Barbuda exonerating Sir Ronald entirely from the false allegations received scant attention from the Telegraph.
